Product details
Metal Drag Reducer
Product Description
During the operation of the coiled tubing, it is affected by the well-bore trajectory, foreign objects in the well-bore, drilling cuttings, etc., which cause the coiled tubing to "self-lock".
The metal drag reducer (MDR-70) developed by Sichuan Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is composed of modified vegetable oil, extreme lubricant and nano-particles.
The metal drag reducing agent is adsorbed on the surface of the rock and drilling tool to form a directional molecular layer, which produces a lubricating adsorption film with high toughness. Due to the cohesive force between molecules, it has a strong pressure bearing capacity, preventing direct contact between the well wall, casing, etc. and the surface of the drilling tool, and plays a lubricating role.

Method of Use
Metal drag reducers (MDR-70) are suitable for using in water-based drilling fluids at 150 ℃ reservoir temperatures with a recommended addition of 0.3-2%. In the coiled tubing "un-locking" process, 0.05%-0.1% polymer aqueous solution can be used as the carrier fluid of the metal drag reducer to increase flow rate.
Packaging and Storage
Plastic drum packaging, according to user's demand according to IBC ton drum, 200L, 25L packaging;
Products should be stored in ventilated, cool and dry storeroom, avoid sun, rain;
The shelf life of the product is 12 months. If it exceeds the shelf life, it should be used after passing the inspection.
MDR-70 Performance Test Data
Test Purposes
Compare the performance of metal drag reducer from different manufacturers.
Test Method
Base slurry configuration: tap water is configured with a concentration of 0.1% mass fraction of slick water, take 400ml of slick water, add 1.2g of metal drag reducer to it, and stir for 5 minutes at a speed of 3000rpm/min.
The friction coefficients of tap water, slick water and slick water with metal drag reducing agent were measured in the extreme pressure lubricator.
